depth
as

Tower

operational

Momsen
safety
lung
was
developed
by
Charles
Bowers
Momsen
, a
U.S
.
Navyl
officer
and
submariner
who
participated
in the
successful
rescue
of
crewmen
from the
sunken
submarine
USS
Squalus
and
subsequent
salvage
of the
vessel
in
1939
.
