Description	Brick and brownstone building has a cupola with a clock, dome, and a statue of an allegorical figure of Justice on top. A porch with pediment and Doric columns above arched opening on the ground floor is at the left. The beams and rafters of the roof are visible. A sawhorse and boards suggest construction in progress. The Second Empire office building in the right background is the Connecticut Mutual Building on Main Street. An American flag flies from its mansard roof. The bell in the belfry immediately to the left may be the Hartford fire bell on Pearl Street. Automobiles are on the street at the far right. Inscribed on back: "Apr. 1 / 18."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The Old State House was erected in 1796 to the designs of Charles Bulfinch. It served as the State Capitol until 1878 and as Hartford's city hall until 1915. <br>
