Description	Bird's-eye view of Hartford, looking east to the Connecticut River. The Park River begins in the bottom right corner and winds through the city, bordering Bushnell Park and terminating in the Connecticut River. There are two fountains and intersecting paths within Bushnell Park. The Weed Sewing Machine Co. factory is located in the foreground next to a bridge crossing the Park River. Just above and to the left of the factory is the Pratt & Whitney Mfg. Co. beside the railroad tracks. The tracks on the right side of the river belong to the Hartford & New Haven Railroad. The tracks on the left side belong to the Hartford, Providence, & Fishkill Railroad. The two streets running from the bottom left corner are Asylum Avenue on the left and Farmington Avenue on the right. Union Station is located just above the intersection of Asylum Avenue and Farmington Avenue. The factory of Colt Patent Fire Arms Mfg. Co. is located in the background to the right o where the Park River meets the Connecticut River. To the left of and above Asylum Avenue is the Waterworks Reservoir, the elevated pool-like area along Garden Street. Just below and to the right of the reservoir is the American Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb. Steamboats and sailing vessels are on the river. Trinity College is located to the right of the bottom half of Bushnell Park, surrounded by trees. Inscribed, at top: "Connecticut Fire Insurance Company Hartford, Conn." At bottom: "City of Hartford, Conn." ; "M. Bennett Jr. / Secretary / Chas. R. Burt / Asst. Secretary." ; "" John B. Eldredge / President"
