Description	View of buildings on State Street. A sidewalk is in the foreground with benches and an iron fence at the right. Beyond the street is a four-story building with many windows and chimneys. A column is at the far right. Signs on the building read: "First National Bank" and "Removal / First National Bank / will move to 307 Main Street / Two doors South... Asylum St. March 8." The large doorway to the left with a second story porch is the entrance to the United States Hotel. To the right of this doorway is the Honiss Oyster House. A sign on the roof reads: "Elihu Geer's Sons / City Directory." Inscribed on back: "State St. / United States Hotel."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The First National Bank was located at 50 State Street. From about 1896 to 1899 it moved to 307 Main Street while its new building was being constructed at 50 State Street. <br>The United States Hotel was located at 26 State Street. <br>Elihu Geer's Sons Printing Co. was at 16 State Street. <br>
