Description	A commercial block is located at the intersection of two dirt city streets with paved sidewalks. Signs read "J.H. Goodwin & Co." "Kellogg's Gallery" "W.J. Babcock & Co. / Pianoforte / Music Store" "Phoenix / Mutual / Life Insurance / Company" "Kelsey and Hitchcock, Merchant Tailors." Merchandise is displayed in shop windows. Some windows have iron balconies. Some have awnings. A horse-drawn wagon is in front of the building.
Notes	J.H. Goodwin & Co. was a boot and shoe store located at 277 Main Street. William J. Babcock & Co.'s music store and the Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company were located at 281 Main Street. William M. Kelsey and Henry P. Hitchcock were the partners in Kelsey & Hitchcock, tailors specializing in ready-made clothing and gentlemen's furnishing goods, located at 283 Main Street. Title supplied by cataloger.
