Description	Bird's-eye view of Rockville, a city in the northeast corner of the town of Vernon. Fox Hill is prominent in the foreground. Snipsic Lake, also known as Shenipsit Lake, is in the upper right corner. The Hockanum River runs through the center of town. The Rockville Branch of the Hartford, Providence, and Fishkill Railroad runs from the bottom left corner of the scene over an elevated bridge. The railroad depot is located of the intersection of the railroad and West Street, on the western most edge of the scene. The Connecticut Central Railroad also runs into the same depot. Below the depot is a dense forest that ends at Vernon Street. Industrial buildings include the factories of The Hockanum Mills, the Springville Manufacturing Co., The Florence Mills Co., the New England Co., The White Manufacturing Co.,Rock Manufacturing Co., White, Corbin, & Co., the American Mills of Jos. M. Wade, the Stockinet Mill of Samuel Fitch, Belding Bros. & Co. Manufacturers, White's Stone Mills, and the Panola Mills. Churches include the First Congregational Church, the Second Congregational Church, the Methodist Church, the Episcopal Church, the German Church (probably Lutheran), and St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. Other points of interest include the post office, the Public Schools and White's Opera House.
