Description	A group of six boys sit on a stone wall at the base of a monument. Steps lead to a platform. Pillars with lamps surround the central tomblike structure, which includes Ionic columns, a pediment, a shallow dome with a statue of a winged woman in classical dress, an angel or a personification of victory. Inscriptions read: "Oh Rare and Royal / was the Sacrifice" and "With Malice Towards / None - With Charity / For All - With Firm / ness in the Right." A wire fence borders a grassy lawn and a path. Buildings in the background have signs that read: "W.... Hatch" "[L]yceum" and "...Hall." The leafless trees at the right appear to be elms. Inscribed on back: "#18 Soldiers Monument / New Britain Conn."<br>
