Description	Bird's-eye view of a small industrial town. The factories of Peck, Stow & Wilcox (manufacturer of tinman's tools and general hardware), Aetna Nut Co. (manufacturer of nuts and rolled iron), the Southington Eyelet Co, and the Southington Cutlery Co. line Bristol Street, in the center of town. The New Haven and Northampton Railroad runs between the factories, crossing the Quinnipiac River on a bridge, just below Goat Island. Commercial buildings, churches, and houses line Main Street. Other houses, many with outbuildings, are scattered throughout town. H.D. Smith Co. (manufacturer of carriage hardware) is at the far right, in the village of Plantsville. The Hanging Hills are in the right background.
