Description	Man in a white suit and straw hat driving an open carriage drawn by two horses on a broad grassy lawn. Typewritten note on lower margin: "The late A.L. Foster, for 38 years a clothing merchant on Asylum Street, pictured with his span of horses on the grounds of his residence at Prospect Avenue and Fern Street in 1903. On the site of this picture are the large residential apartments. Mr. Foster was in business at 44-45 Asylum Street from 1884 until his death in 1922."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>Arthur L. Foster's residence was at 775 Prospect Avenue, on the north west side of the intersection with Fern Street. <br>This photograph formerly hung in Honiss Oyster House, State Street, Hartford. <br>
