Description	Exterior view of the Travelers Tower shows Main Street and Grove Street sides of building and tower, when Grove Street still connected Main and Prospect. Completed in 1919, the 527-foot tower of Rhode Island granite was the tallest building in Hartford until the construction of CityPlace in 1983. The oldest section of the building faces Main Street. The Travelers building is a Renaissance Revival structure created by architect Donn Barber of New York.
