Description	Two elderly people, a man and a woman wearing a hat, sit in matching patterned chairs with carved wood. There are four men standing behind them, and a fifth man is handing a package to the woman. Three of the men wear eyeglasses. Part of an American flag is visible in the background. The woman wears a floral corsage on her dress, and the seated man has a floral boutonniere in his lapel. Inscribed on back: "Mr. & Mrs. Mortensen / "" her sons." Identification from left to right: ? , seated: Karen P. Mortensen, John L. Mortensen, standing: Peter Mortensen, Elmer Mortensen, Edward Mortensen, William H. Mortensen.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph has several horizontal cracks that effect the emulsion of the print. This image was taken at a farewell party on 23 January 1949, for John and Karen Mortensen before going to Florida. The party was mostly relatives. Mayor Cyril Coleman also attended.
