Description	Bird’s-eye view of a large industrial town in the valleys of the Mad River and Still River. The tracks of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad run beside the Mad River and the large factories of the New England Knitting Co., the Morgan Silver Plate Co., the Winsted Edge Tool Co., and the George Dudley and Son Tanneries are located beside it. South of town is Tiffany & Pickett (lumber and coal dealers) and north of town beside the Still River are the Winsted Hosiery Co., the W.L. Gilbert Clock Co., and the T.C. Richards Hardware Co. Vignettes depict these and other industries, commercial buildings, churches, schools, the Litchfield County Hospital, and houses, including the residences of Eugene Potter, Arthur Clark, John Maher, William L. Camp, and Joseph Carey.
