Notes	Title supplied by cataloger.<BR>The "Momsen Lung" was a submarine escape breathing apparatus developed in the period 1929-1932 and named for one of its developers, then U.S. Navy Lieutenant Charles Bowers Momsen. <br>S-4 was built 1918-19, accidentally sunk in 1927, raised and used for training. She served in Key West in 1929-30, in New London 1931-32, and was decommissioned in 1933.
