Metal
pins
are
arranged
on a
pink
sheet
of
paper
in
two
vertical
columns
,
each
with
four
horizontal
rows
of
pins
. The
upper
row
of
pins
on the
right
side
is
missing
,
because
that
portion
of the
paper
is
torn
off
. The
bottom
row
of
each
column
is
missing
almost
all
the
pins
, but
holes
remain
in the
paper
where
the
pins
used
to be. The
front
of the
paper
has a
design
printed
in
black
ink
.
Flowers
and
squiggles
frame
the
edge
, and there
is
a
bird
with
outstretched
wings
toward
the
center
.

Notes
The
pins
originally
belonged
to
Albert
G
.
Walker
.
Walker
was
born
in
Connecticut
in
1836
. He was the
son
of
Polly
and
Nathaniel
Walker
, a
farmer
in
Glastonbury
,
Connecticut
.
Albert
Walker
worked
as a
spoonmaker
at the
cutlery
works
in
Naubec
for
many
years
, and also
worked
at the
Williams'
Brothers
Company
.
Walker
was also an
entertainer
; his
extensive
collection
of
props
for his
magic
act
are in the
Connecticut
Historical
Society
collections
. He
died
in
Glastonbury
in
1902
.
