Description	A small town is on a low hill in the middle distance. In the foreground, in a field surrounded by a stone wall, three men load hay into a wagon drawn by oxen. Small piles of hay are arranged in regular rows at the right. Trees, possibly fruit trees, line the enclosure; a farmhouse and its outbuildings are in the right back corner. A rail fence separates the farmyard from the field. Buildings in the town include many additional houses, a barn, and a large church with a domed tower. A tall tavern or inn sign is visible in the right background, behind a tall elm tree. Other trees appear to be poplars. Additional fields and low wooded hills are in the distance.
Notes	The road running from left to right is as of 2004 Connecticut Route 203.
