Description	View of Lower State Street, New London, from the railroad station. A flagpole is prominent in the photo and a sign reading "Hardware" can be seen on a building in the background. Other signs visible on and over storefronts advertise drugs and medicine, carpeting and furniture. Horse-drawn carriages and wagons can be seen in the center and along both sides of the street. The spire of the First Congregational Church is visible in the center background.
