Description	View of partially collapsed five-story building. Piles of rubble and debris are on the ground. Men stand nearby. Horse-drawn wagons are in the street at the left. Street lights and utility poles and wires are in the foreground. Brick buildings are at the left and in the background. Signs read: "Monuments" and "Earle House." Inscribed on back: "Park Central Hotel."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>Earle House, Thomas J. Winter, proprietor, was another hotel, located at 74 High Street. <br>The monument business may be Stephen Maslen & Co. Monumental Works, 352 Asylum Street. <br>Wellington Ketchum was the proprietor of the Park Central Hotel. The hotel was destroyed by an explosion of its steam boiler in the early morning of February 17, 1889. 22 people were killed. 10 were rescued. Only part of the eastern wing remained standing. <br>
