Description	Parade float of Northwest Elementary School representing the Connecticut state flag with heads of children taking the place of grapes. Men, women, boys and girls, line the sidewalks. Street lamps and utility wires line the street. The building with four columns is the St. Peter's Rectory. Inscribed on back: "Conn. & Patriotism / Northwest School / State Tercentenary Parade / Oct. 12, 1935."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>St. Peter's Rectory at 214 Main Street was built in 1840. <br>Hartford celebrated the 300th anniversary of the founding of Connecticut with a parade on October 12, 1935. It included 20,000 marchers, 105 floats, 12 large divisions, 30 bands, over 500 separate organizations and 20 national groups. It was watched by 400,000 people and took 3 hours to pass by. <br>
