Description	Frame house with louvered shutters and porches. Iron grilles are in windows directly beneath the roof. Vines grow on a trellis at the left. Laundry hangs from a clothesline at the right. A picket fence and a sidewalk are in the foreground. Inscribed on back: "Residence of Governor Thomas H. Seymour on Governor St. / where he died about 1863. On the west side of the street / midway between Charter Oak & Sheldon Streets. / Gov. Seymour was Colonel of N. England Regiment in / the Mexican War (1846) and Governor of this state several / years also U.S. Minister to Russia from 1857 to 1861 / under President Buchanan." "No. 19 Governor St. (1935)"<br>
