Description	Three-story brick building with a domed cupola with a clock and a sculpture of an allegorical figure of justice on top is surround by iron fences and leafless trees. Ornamental urns decorate the balustrade that surround the roof. Doric columns support a pediment over a second-story porch, supported by three arches. A sign over the door reads: "Headquarters / Red Cross / 1946 Fund." The memorial in the right foreground is a Hartford War Memorial. The top stories of the Hartford Aetna Bank Building are visible in the right background. There are leafless trees along the sides and there is snow on the ground. Inscribed on back: "State House" "James Parker, Photographer".<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger.<br>The Old State House was erected in 1796 to the designs of Charles Bulfinch. It served as the State Capitol until 1878 and as Hartford's city hall until 1915. <br>
