Description	Gothic stone building has buttresses, wings, turrets, Tudor arched doors, and casement windows. A stone courtyard borders the paved sidewalk. Trees in the sidewalks are wrapped in wire mesh. A crosswalk is painted on the paved road. A utility pole, streetlight, and parked automobiles are at right. License plate reads "A 6466." Inscription over tracery window reads "" Sterling Memorial Library." Figures in cast stone are on the building at left. Inscription on front reads "" C Simonds Com' l. Photo. Co. / New Haven, Conn."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The library was built from funds contributed from bequest of John W. Sterling, a New York attorney who graduated from Yale in 1864. The building was completed in 1930 and is between Wall and York Streets. <br>
