Description	Room in the interior of a government building has fluted Ionic pilasters on a dado, elaborate moldings, and stenciled decorations on the ceiling. Chandeliers appear to be gas light fixtures converted to electricity. The speaker's elaborately carved chair is on raised dais or platform with a canopy and curtain behind. Electric lamps with shades are on either side of the podium. Additional chairs with leather upholstery are in rows. A spittoon is on the floor. Louvered shutters are at the windows. Radiators are at the left and far right. Inscribed on back: "OSH Representative's Chamber."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The Old State House was erected in 1796 to the designs of Charles Bulfinch. It served as the State Capitol until 1878 and as Hartford's city hall until 1915. <br>
