Description	Stone church with arched and circular windows, a Palladian window, and a square tower with a steeple. Young trees grow in the grassy lawn of the churchyard which is surrounded by an iron fence. An excavation in the foreground, apparently where a building has been demolished, is surrounded by a wooden railing. Men sit on the railing near a sign that reads: "Original / Tea / Store / We Moved." A commercial building on the opposite side of the dirt street has iron balconies, striped awnings, and a sign that reads: "Phoenix / Mutual / Life / Insurance / Company. Two horse-drawn wagons are at the left, near a sidewalk and a street lamp. Inscribed on back: "The Pearl Street Church, showing the lot upon / which the Conn. Mutual Life building now stands / just after the removal of the Union Hall building. / The Pearl Street Church was sold to the Con. Mutual Life Co. / in June 1897 and will soon be removed. It was built / about 50 years ago."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>William H. Kelsey and H.P. Hitchcock were the partners in Kelsey & Hitchcock, merchant tailors at 283 Main Street in the 1870s. <br>The cornerstone of the brownstone Pearl Street Congregational Church was laid in 1851. The building was dedicated in 1852 and demolished in 1899. <br>
