Description	Young girl's dress of white cotton has a high, round neckline and long sleeves trimmed with a double row of ruffles. It has vertical pleats in front and in back. A seven-inch flounce forms the skirt, the top and bottom of which have three horizontal tucks. The hem is edged with scalloped lace.<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger.<br>This dress was originally owned by Mary Caroline Ogden Pierson ((1874-1949), daughter of Hannah Pettibone Latimer Pierson and Stephen Condit Pierson of Hartford, Connecticut. Mary Caroline Pierson married Horace Bushnell Cheney of Manchester, Connecticut in 1898. She had her picture taken wearing this dress when she was a child.<br>Gift of Mrs. Byard Williams.<br>
