Description	Stone building with round-arched windows, bay windows, turrets and quoins. Lettering above the arched entrance reads: "Young Men's Christian Association." Scaffolding and board barriers indicate the building is still under construction. Boards on barrels screen construction debris at the left. Lettering over the arched entrance reads: "Young Men's Christian Assn / New Building / Stores for Rent / Ready about October 1" and "267 / Young Men's / [illegible] / Saturday International Reception / Sunday Young Men's / at 4 P.M. / All Young Men Invited." Brick commercial buildings to the right include storefronts and an opera house. Signs read: "W.B. Middlebrook" "Grand / Opera House." A theatrical poster reads: "The Great / Clara / Morris / in / Sardou's / Odette." Additional broadsides and advertising posters at the left read: "Fair / 25 cents." Elm trees line the street. The spire in the background is part of St. John's Episcopal Church. Inscribed on back: "Y.M.C.A. Bridgeport."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The Bridgeport Y.M.C.A.'s fourth building, erected on the corner of Main Street and Culbert Street, was begun in June 1890 and completed in 1891. The architect was W.R. Briggs. <br>
