Description	Woman in eighteenth-century costume sits on a large flower-covered parade float. She holds an American flag in her lap. Floral arrangements in urns include ferns and chrysanthemums. A flower-covered trellis is behind her. A sign on the side of the float reads: "Hartford Clearing House Asso. Banks."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>Hartford celebrated the 300th anniversary of the founding of Connecticut with a parade on October 12, 1935. It included 20,000 marchers, 105 floats, 12 large divisions, 30 bands, over 500 separate organizations and 20 national groups. It was watched by 400,000 people and took 3 hours to pass by. <br>
