Other cards read: "Brown, Tho[mson & Co. / Wholesale and [Retail]" "Pease and Fost[er]" "Bee Hiv[e] / 386 Main St. / Dry Good[s] / B.P. Starr" "H.C. Ransom / Dealer in / Dry Goods" "C.S. Weatherby" "Miner Clark Gilbert" "Goldschmidt Stern & / Mandlebaum" "D.C. Fre... / Hart Merr[iam & Co.] / Dry Go[ods]" "You perceive it has gone up the spout or salt ever [?] as your palate may / dictate / Yours truly / C.H. Sanford [?]"<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>.C. H. Sanford, who signed the card in the center, may be the artist. Cornelius Sanford is listed as a painter in the 1866 Hartford city directory. <br>Talcott & Post; Brown, Thomson & Co.; Pease & Foster; The Bee Hive; H.C. Ranson; C.S. Weatherby; Miner & Clark; Goldschmidt & Mandlebaum; and Hart, Merriam & Co. all appear as dry goods merchants in the 1866 Hartford city directory. This is the last year that H.C. Ransom appears. <br>
