Description	Parade float in the shape of a ship with sails and flags flying from masts. A sign on the bow reads: "Santa Maria." Banners read: "Lodge Piave - Centerbrook / Fratella... - Deep River / Italian-American Society - Chester."Five men stand and sit on the float. A wire fence, a utility pole and an industrial building are in the background. Inscribed on back: "State Tercentenary Parade / Oct. 12 1935."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>Hartford celebrated the 300th anniversary of the founding of Connecticut with a parade on October 12, 1935. It included 20,000 marchers, 105 floats, 12 large divisions, 30 bands, over 500 separate organizations and 20 national groups. It was watched by 400,000 people and took 3 hours to pass by. <br>
