Description	Frame Colonial building has wooden steps leading to two doors beneath a pedimented entry hood. Some windows have louvered shutters. Roof has a saltbox slope. A leafless tree is at the right. An iron fence is at the left. A hedge is parallel to the house. A sign on the brick building at the right reads: "Bond's." A horse-drawn wagon is beside the sidewalk and in the road. Inscribed on back: "The Old / Green House / on /Prospect St. / Hartford Conn." "Green, Thomas / Hartford's first printer."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>This house was also known as the Ramsey house. <br>According to a newspaper clipping from the Daily Times dated December 12, 1907, the house was built ca. 1790-1800 and belonged to a merchant named Jonathan Ramsey. From 1829 until 1907, it belonged to the Connecticut River Banking Company. <br>
