Description	Brick commercial buildings line the square. Signs read: "Brown & Lovell" "Furniture - G.H. Baker & Co. - Car[pets?]" Merchandise is displayed in the store windows. The building with striped awnings in the right background has a sign that reads: "Post Office." A trolley car and elm trees are on the street to the left. A utility pole is on the corner. A stone fountain at the left has a sculpture of an eagle on top and is inscribed with the date "1894." An automobile is in the left background. Inscribed on back: "No. 4 / Rail Road Square / Stafford Spring / Conn." "All Building Red Brick & Granite."<br>
Notes	Additional notes not related to the image are on the back in German. August Schmelzer had the photographs taken and sent to Germany to be made into post cards. <br>
