Description	A frame house with a gambrel roof, dormers, louvered shutters and a picket fence is on the right of the flooded street. Other buildings may be outbuildings. Chickens sit on a roof at the left of the house. A stone retaining wall is at the left. The road is barred with a temporary [?] gate made of ropes and timbers. The Connecticut Valley Rail Road is on the embankment at the left, lined with utility poles. The dome of Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company is in the background. The inundated mouth of the Park River is between Potter Street and the Colt factory. Inscribed on back: "Potter Street freshet of 1893."<br>
