Description	Dilapidated brick commercial and warehouse buildings with stepped gables line a dirt street. A sign reads: "C.H. Talcott & Company / Drugs / Heavy Chemicals / and Oils / Office 273 Asylum Street." Some windows are broken. The Italianate building at the far right has a cupola. Blocks of stone, possibly paving stones, are at the far left, near wagons on sled runners. A utility pole and fire hydrant are at the right. Inscribed on back: "A block of buildings on the river bank / Commerce Street (east side) between Ferry / and Kilbourn Streets. Built before 1830 by / Thomas K. Brace & known as the "Brace" block / beginning at Mason & Co. office extending south / to the "River House" (with a cupola). The river house was many years ago the store of Mr. Buttolph, who / was drowned in Conn. river and later kept as store / by Isaac G. Allen at last used as a lodging house / This faced the Ferry street landing."<br>
Notes	The warehouse of C.H. Talcott & Co. was located at 168 Commerce Street in1902. By 1903, it had moved to 239 State Street. <br>River House was located at 76 Ferry Street. <br>
