Description	Brick commercial buildings and utility poles line a dirt street. The building on the left has striped awnings, a balustrade on the roof, and signs that read: "John Hogan... Claxton Drugs" "Cigars." A mortar and pestle hang from the corner of the sign. A boy and a girl stand on the sidewalk at the left. Some children are blurred from movement. Men and women are on the sidewalk on the right. A fire hydrant is nearby. The box on the pole on the corner may be a police or fire callbox. The trees at the far right appear to be elms. Inscribed on back: "Cor Water St. Main St. / Torrington / on Left Red Brick / on Right Granite." "No. 1 Corner Water & Main St. / Torrington Conn."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>John Hogan repaired boots and shoes at 7 East Main Street. <br>John M. Claxton was a druggist located at the corner of Main and Water Streets. <br>
