Description	Three men stand on the dome of a cupola with clocks, balustrades, lunettes, Ionic columns, carved garlands and ornamental urns. One man is beside the statue of a woman. One man wears overalls. Another wears a derby hat. The roof and chimneys of the Old State House are in the foreground. A weathervane is on a flagpole at the right. A corner of the beaux-arts style Federal building is in the right background.<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The Old State House was erected in 1796 to the designs of Charles Bulfinch. It served as the State Capitol until 1878 and as Hartford's city hall until 1915. <br>The Federal building, also known as the Government Building, in City Hall Square housing the Post Office was begun in 1873 and completed in 1883. <br>
