Description	View of a pond with water flowing over a dam into a stream that runs under a wooden bridge. Rail fences line the road and in the foreground and divide open grassy fields or pastures in the background. Small hills are covered with leafless trees. Inscribed beneath image: "Nebo and the reservoir / S. Manchester Conn."<br>
Notes	Mount Nebo is a hill on Spring Street. The stream is Hop Brook, which is the south branch of the Hockanum River. The reservoir in question may actually be a millpond rather than a public water supply since there was no public water supply in this area until the Globe Hollow or Highland Park Reservoir was constructed in 1906. In the mid-nineteenth century, the area was highly industrialized, with many mills, including the earliest Cheney silk mill. <br>
