Description	Two men are seated on the porch of a large frame hotel building. Another man stands nearby. All have beards or mustaches and wear suits and hats. The man in the center smoking a cigar is Grover Cleveland. The man at the right holding a cable in his hand is the photographer Thomas Sedgwick Steele. Additional men and chairs are in the right background. A lake is in the left background beyond a grassy lawn. Inscribed on back: "Taken instantaneously, and without the / knowledge ofÂ… Gov. Cleve- / land and the gentleman on his right. The one leaning against the pillar pulled a string and / took the picture." "Hon. Grover Cleveland at Prospect House / Upper Saranac Lake / Aug. 22 1884 Adirondacks."<br>
