Description	A group of men sit around a table in an office interior. Some have mustaches. One has a beard. A young man, who is identified as a stenographer, types on a typewriter. The table is covered with papers. An electric light with a shade hangs from the ceiling. Bookcases are piled with books, presumably law books. A top hat rests on two books in the corner. A framed photograph [?] of a large office building and a framed diploma or license hang on the wall. Two small round mirrors are near the door. An umbrella stand containing a cane is at the far right. Inscribed on back: "1896 Old Trust Co. Building Office / Hon. W.E. Simonds / Col. Chas. Burdett / Wm. Gray / Chas. Soby / Andrew Ferguson (Steno) / Sam Alexander."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>Andrew Ferguson, a clerk, worked at 2 Central Row and lived in Talcottville. <br>Charles L. Burdett, an attorney at law and solicitor of patents, had an office at 26 Pratt Street and lived at 188 Sigourney Street. <br>Charles Soby was a cigar manufacturer at 349 Main Street. <br>Samuel Alexander was an agent at 248 Main Street. <br>This photograph formerly hung in Honiss Oyster House, State Street, Hartford. <br>William E. Simonds was a patent lawyer with offices at 2 Central Row, Hartford. He lived in Collinsville. <br>
