Description	Frame Colonial building has wooden steps leading to two doors beneath a pedimented entry hood. Some windows have louvered shutters. Roof has a saltbox slope. A rain barrel is at the corner of the house near the brick foundation. Flowering chestnut trees are at the right and far left. A parking sign that reads "No / Parking / On this side of Street / Police Dept." is on the left near an iron fence. A sidewalk is in the foreground. A large ventilator is in the window of a brick building in the background. Inscribed beneath image: "Prospect Street west side between Grove St. & Central Row / This picture was taken in 1920 / Torn down in 1920."
Notes	According to a newspaper clipping from the Daily Times dated December 12, 1907, the house was built ca. 1790-1800 and belonged to a merchant named Jonathan Ramsey. From 1829 until 1907, it belonged to the Connecticut River Banking Company. This house was also known as the Ramsey house and as the Thomas Green house.
