Description	Large group of men, women and children in seventeenth-century costume assembled on the bank of the Connecticut River. Men wear tall hats, capes and doublets. Some wear armor and hold muskets. The corner of the barge from which they have disembarked is at the far right. Canoes are painted in what are supposed to be Native American designs. Several oxen are at the left. Several teepees are on a bank in the left background. Wooden pilings are at the water's edge. The Bulkeley Bridge is in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on December 8, 1907 and to the general public on December 21, 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on October 6,7, and 8, 1908.
