Description	Clapboard commercial building with the gable end facing the street. There are louvered shutters on the upper story, shop windows on the ground floor, and a striped awning. Signs read: "336 I.J. Paredina Cafe 336" and "New England / Brewing Co.'s / Extra Lager & Ales." "New England / Ales & Lager / Hartford, Conn." "New England / Sparkling / Ales." The sign on the building at the left reads: "Hosiery / Underwear / Corsets / and / Gloves." Trolley tracks are in the road and trolley or utility wires are overhead. Inscribed on back: "Joseph Whiting House / on Main Street just North of Charter Oak Avenue."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The New England Brewing Co., specializing in extra cabinet and Munich lagers, sparkling ales and porters, was located at 503 Windsor Street, Hartford. A.C.Wagner was the treasurer and general manager. Ignatz J. Paredina, the proprietor of the cafe, lived at 269 Franklin Avenue.
