Description	Interior of a room with plain and printed silk fabrics draped from the walls, on freestanding counters in aisles, and on a balcony. Ribbon tied in a bow is at the end of an aisle. Counter appears to hold packages of ribbons and other notions. Electric light fixtures hang from the ceiling. Signs on counters read: "Please Do Not / Handle the Goods."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. In the 1910s, Cheney Brothers advertised that they were "the oldest and largest successful silk manufacturing company in America and the largest silk manufacturing company in the world." They produced dress silks of all kinds, silks for upholstery and drapery, velvets, cravats, millinery silks, silks for electrical purposes and silk yarns.
