Description	Group of men in work clothes spreading hot tar or asphalt from a bucket on the surface of the bridge. One man wears overalls. All wear hats. The man on the right appears to be African American. Wooden beams are piled beside the granite side of the bridge. The base of a large piece of equipment, probably a crane, is at the left. A hook dangles from a chain in the center.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Construction of the new stone arch Bulkeley Bridge by McMullin, Weand & McDermott began early in 1904 and continued until the December 1907 when the bridge opened to trolley traffic and the general public.
