Description	A wooden covered bridge crosses the Naugatuck River in the foreground. An iron bridge crosses the river in the background. The smokestacks at the left of the iron bridge are probably part of the Seymour Manufacturing Company. The tower at the left may be part of the Tingue Manufacturing Company. A row of similar houses at the far left may have been built to house factory workers. Other industrial buildings and houses are largely concealed by trees. A wooded hill is in the background. Inscribed on back: "Covered bridge and works, taken from Trinity /Cemetery, looking N.E., Aug. 12, 1896 (Seymour, Ct.)"
Notes	The Seymour Manufacturing Company made sheet brass, copper and silver wire, rods and tubing. The Tingue Manufacturing Company produced goods from silk, wool and cotton, and was especially known for the manufacture of plush.
