Description	Man with mustache and hat stands at open coal fired forge and stool with anvil, hammer, and other tools. A window is on left and rear walls. On right is a work bench, small metal objects and barrell. Metal rods are on the floor in foreground. Walls are wood plank and plaster.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. In 1892, the C. S. Mersick and Company, located at 286, 288, 290, 292 State Street were manufacturers of general hardware and supplies for tinsmiths, plumbers, and blacksmiths. They were importers and dealers in iron, steel and metals.
