Description	View from the west side of Main Street towards State Street. Pedestrians in the foreground include women and men wearing hats. A horse-drawn omnibus is on the tracks in the middle of the street. Several carriages and carts drawn by horses are also in the street. Commercial buildings lining State Street bear signs that read: "The Hartford Printing Co. / Home of Elihu Geer's Sons City Directory" "Steam Job & Card Printer" "Kashman's Furnishing House" "A. J. Glazier Real Estate" "Crane, Dentist" "Byrne, taylor" "J.S. Schott, cigars" "H.P. Hitchcock" "Deming & Gundlach" "T.A. Honiss."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Henry P. Hitchcock was a merchant tailor at 10 State Street. Henry A. Deming and Louis Gundlach were jewelers and opticians at 20 State Street. Thomas A. Honiss was a dealer in fish, oysters, clams and lobsters at 30 State Street.
