Description	Water from a steam fire engine is directed at a brick hotel building with a mansard roof, louvered shutters, a cupola, dormers, a fire escape and an iron balcony. Smoke and steam issue from the windows. Ladders lean against the building and fire hoses extend into it. Signs read: "Plumbing - J.J. Lawler - Heating" "57/ Hotel" "Drugs & Medicines" "The Farmington Avenue Market / The Place to Buy Meats and Groceries of Quality / A Full Line of / Choice Fruits and Fresh Vegetables / Highest Grade of Canned Goods / All Bread and Pastry Sold Here Comes from our own Bakery / Where Pure Food is our Motto / Alexander C. Rose" "Union / Club / Coffee..." Crowds of men and women stand on the sidewalks. A bicycle leans against a utility pole. A street light hangs from the pole. A mailbox is in front of the hotel entrance. Rubble and debris are on the ground. A hook-and-ladder is at the far left. A street sign that reads: "Farmington Ave." is at the right. Inscribed on back: "Farm Ave Hotel / Fire Nov 11 / 1907" "Page 13 of Htfd Courant / Nov 12, 1907."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The Farmington Avenue Hotel was located at 57 Farmington Avenue. Alexander C. Rose was proprietor of the Farmington Avenue Market at 59 & 61 Farmington Avenue.
