Description	The church and nearby commercial buildings are seen from an elevated viewpoint, probably a rooftop. The church has a steeple with a clock, and a pediment supported by Ionic columns. Signs on stores read: "223 Seyms & Co. 223" "Watches and Jewelry" "Henry Lewith." Some businesses have awnings. Light snow is on the paved sidewalk. A horse-drawn vehicle is in the street in the foreground. Inscribed on back: "The buildings on the left of the Center Church / standing between that building & Gold Street / were formerly occupied by Humphrey Seyms / and James L. Howard & Co. The buildings were / destroyed about 1878 to increase the width of Gold Street."
Notes	Seyms & Co. were grocers, successors to the firm, Humphrey, Seyms & Co. Henry Lewith was the proprietor of H. Lewith & Co., a wholesale and retail drygoods company at 235 Main Street.
