Description	Interior of High Victorian Gothic church incorporates polychrome decoration including stenciling and carving. Metal, probably brass light fixtures are attached to the columns that line the nave. Vaults of nave and side aisles are painted in contrasting colors. The pipes of an organ are to the left. The apse contains stained glass windows, a hanging lamp, and an altar decorated with a cross and the inscription "Holy, Holy, Holy." A notice board at the right lists the following hymns: "Hymns / 47 / 12 - 49 / Day [?] 5." Hymnals are in the backs of the pews in the foreground. The floor appears to be paved with tiles. Inscribed on back: "Colt Memorial / Interior."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The Church of the Good Shepherd was commissioned by Elizabeth Hart Jarvis Colt as a memorial to her husband, Samuel Colt. It was erected in 1869 to the designs of architect Edward Tuckerman Potter.
