Description	Two men and a woman stand on the steps of the Hoffman Wall Paper Co. One man wears a hat. The other man is the owner, Abraham Hoffman. The woman wears a blouse and long skirt. Rolls of wallpaper are displayed in the shop window at the left. Cans of paint [?] are in the window at the right. Signs read: "The Hoffman Wall Paper Co." "House / Painting" "Painters' Supplies" "Special 3 cents." The storefront is draped with bunting and American flags, possibly for the celebration of the opening of the Bulkeley Bridge.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Abraham Hoffman was born in Russia to Jewish parents. He immigrated to Hartford in 1898 and established his wallpaper firm in 1903. Hoffman Wall Paper Co. at 1136 Main Street sold wallpaper, paint and artists supplies and offered services in house painting and decorating.
