Description	Vignette shows the interior of a paper mill. At the left, boys remove sheets of finished paper from a press operated by a large screw. In the background, a man appears to feed rags or pulp into a machine operated by interlocking gears and evidently run by waterpower. A large shaft extends to the right. Olive branches, oak leaves, books, a map, clouds and the Connecticut state seal surround the vignette. A banner reads: "American Manufactures." The base on which the vignette rests is inscribed: "G. Goodwin & Sons / Hartford."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The paper mills, belonging to the Hartford printer and publisher George Goodwin, were located on the Hockanum River in East Hartford and Manchester. <br>
